Welcome and thank you for being here. I’m passionate about sharing my yoga practice and the following pages will outline how we can do that together. Join my Newsletter email below and receive information about Zoom Classes and more.
“Yoga helps me to fully examine what comes my way, all the wonderful and all the challenge. Everyday is a lesson in life and how we respond to these lessons is our choice.”
Whitney Spagnola
My Teaching Style
Fundamental to my teaching is a respect that the practice meets the student. The body and mind will respond when the individual is ready. Time spent working on this transformation is “the practice”. I offer my teachings to encourage this opening by providing physical instruction and alignment for the body, information for the brain and quietness for the mind. Yoga is an inner exploration of the self. My job is to offer principles for use on that journey.
I have trained in Hatha, Iyengar and Vinyasa yoga traditions, which affords me a broad toolkit to draw from with practices that range from asana, to breath-work to mindfulness and meditation. I’m trained in an eight-limbed approach outlined in Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras. These 196 Sutras provide a pathway for yoga as a total life philosophy. The intention is to live to our fullest potential. It is my goal to inspire the student to explore these ancient and valued practices and apply them in a way that is suitable and helpful to making that happen.
